Things You Might Need To Know

What We Accept

  • Current - 3 years or newer, expensive items still age
  • All sizes from newborn to plus sizes in both genders
  • Prom/Formal wear
  • Outerwear  
  • Inspect please - under good lighting
  • Keep it clean people - freshly laundered is best
  • Jewelry - boxes and baggies are your friend, working watches, and like new costume jewelry
  • Accessories - shoes, purses, sunglasses, scarves, belts, hats, and more - yes we accept - yes they have to be clean as well
  • Designer Handbags - Only real ones, we absolutely authenticate them, any accessories that go with them will stay with them (ex. dust bags, key chains, wallets, etc.)

No Thanks

  • "Knock off" designer bags
  • 60, 70,80, and 90s styles - Keep it to yourself 
  • If you have to fix it or clean it, we do not want it
  • No missing stones, buttons,etc
  • No spots/stains, excessive wear, "pilling", holes, rips, odors etc.
  • Jewelry
    • no missing stones
    • no real stones accepted at this time
  • We do not accept wedding attire
  • Remember: the better the clothes are the more money you will make...it is just that simple

Your Item - Start to Finish

  • Item(s) arrive to the boutique
  • Container(s)/Item(s) are tagged with consignors name, date consignment arrived, and whether items that are not accepted are donated or returned to you.
  • Consignment intake form and contract are filled out by S&I representative and consignee.
  • Consignment item(s) are taken to the inventory room until employee is ready to process. (We work on a first in, first out basis)
  • When the employee is ready to process the consignment, they will attain the item(s), take them to the front counter, enter clients info into our software (if not a previous cosignor), and start sorting through the item(s). We look for excessive wear, age of clothing, holes, stains, missing button, etc.
  • Once we have narrowed the consignment down to what will be accepted, we will then bag up the remaining items that were not accepted and either take them to donation area or to the return room. 
  • The item(s) accepted will be hung, priced, and placed on the appropriate rack(s). 
  • When/if the item is sold, the consignor’s credit Is kept track of in the software. 
  • If an item does not sell in it’s life at S&I, it will then either be returned to the consignor i
